Description: The Coast Guard is considering establishment of shipping safety fairways on the Atlantic Coast of the United States identified in 85 FR 37034, USCG-2019-0279, Shipping Safety Fairways Along the Atlantic Coast (AKA “ACPARS Fairways”). This potential system of fairways is intended to ensure that traditional navigation routes are kept free from obstructions that could impact navigation safety.This feature depicts routing measures proposed by the Draft New Jersey Port Access Route Study (NJPARS). Coast Guard District 5 conducted the NJPARS as a follow-up action to the ACPARS Fairways rulemaking and proposes modifications/ additions to the Atlantic Coast safety fairway system.
